Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović believes that citizens are too relaxed and believes that the epidemiological situation is still uncertain, because the coronavirus is still present in society.

– It can be assessed that the epidemiological situation is still uncertain because we still have the presence of the virus and we have local transmission, that is, the possibility that people will get sick. The assessment that the virus has weakened is incorrect, Tiodorović said for TV Pink.

He claimed that the virus is less present because there are far fewer people who can transmit it.

– At the new Clinical Center in Nis, we have 738 free beds and only 13 patients who are positive for Kovid. More than 70 people were bagged at the gerontology center and covered by 44 workers, which is good news, says Tiodorović.

According to him, there are far fewer positives, and the goal is to go down versus five percent, while the percentage is now 2.5 to 3.2 percent at Nis.

– We wish there were not 28 positive days. The last two days have shown that a good part of the population does not behave responsibly and does not respect the planned measures. We relax too much, in the next seven to 10 days we will see the result – said Tiodrović.

Tiodorović stated that now the Clinical Center in Niš can be prepared to work under normal conditions.

– We have an access point only in Leskovac, there are 52 “Jure” with a positive result. Fortunately, these are younger people, he added, noting that masks are mandatory and gloves only in certain situations, in the store and on the market.
