Zoran Marjanović knowingly turned off his mobile phone at the time of the murder of the singer’s wife, Jelena Marjanović On April 2, 2016, on the Crvenka embankment near Borča, judicial expert Dragoljub Vasiljević said, explaining his finding.
He said Zoran’s phone was turned off for 25 minutes and that during that time his movement could not be reconstructed, but that he believed a meeting between him and Jelena was supposed to take place around 5 p.m.
– Don’t expect it to be possible to position it on a meter, but based on all the evidence, my conclusion is that at 4:38 p.m. it was at the beginning of the embankment and then the phone was turned off and then turned on at 04:04 near the crime scene . – said the judicial expert that, on the basis of base stations and security camera recordings, he had the task of determining where Zoran Marjanović was during the murder of his wife.
– Jelena Marjanović was last recorded on the embankment at 4:56 pm According to me, her descent from the embankment was at 4.57 pm, while Zoran’s phone was switched on at 5.04 pm at the place where Jelena was at at 4.56 pm – said the expert Vasiljevic and explained that it was a place about 100-120 meters from the place of the murder.
According to him, the meeting between Zoran and Jelena was supposed to take place around 5 in the afternoon.
– I don’t talk about how the meeting went, but my conclusion, considering the visibility on the embankment and the sunny weather that day, was that it should have taken place. – said the telecommunications expert before the High Court of Belgrade.
However, responding to questions from Zoran’s defense attorney, Nikola Dumnić, said that he did not take into account the vegetation, that is, the vegetation of the embankment on the day of the murder, on which, according to the defense attorney, visibility would significantly depend .
The expert also claimed that Zoran called his wife Jelena five times when he turned the phone back on.
