The president of the Delta company, Miroslav Mišković, said today that they are currently analyzing the possibility of buying the Sava Center with consultants, but that they will not make an offer if they do not consider that the investment can be profitable.
“We are currently doing analysis with the consultants and we will announce our position before November 6, when the deadline to request the tender expires,” Miskovic said on his Facebook account.
The city of Belgrade put the “Sava” Center up for sale at an initial price of 17.5 million euros.
The condition is that the buyer invests no less than 50 million euros in the adaptation and reconstruction of the SC within a period of five years.
Mišković confirmed today that the company is interested in this facility.
SC’s public sale is scheduled for November 9, but the deadline for submitting requests to participate is November 6.
The deposit to participate in the public tender is 1.75 million euros, or 10 percent of the starting price.
The SC complex is located on almost three hectares of land, and the obligation imposed by the seller is that the future buyer cannot change the purpose of this property, which must still remain for congress tourism.
The historical-artistic works, such as immovable and movable cultural property in the building, are not sold, it is indicated in the sale announcement.
The city of Belgrade announces the sale of SC for the third time, and each time the initial sale price is getting lower and lower.
