After two deadly bullets were fired, Radovanović allegedly decided to surrender and his father called the police. According to her parents, Sasa Radovanovic lived peacefully in the family home in Arandjelovac. He knew Pavlović from a young age. They used to play and grow together.
The slain Dragan did not live in his house across the street from Sasha for years; he was in prison for several years and lived in Bosnia. He returned just under a year ago and then, as Sasha’s parents claim, the problems began.
– Dragan has always been troublesome. When he returned, he began forcing Sasha to work for him and produce drugs in a laboratory on Mount Radan. He didn’t want that and Dragan started hitting him. He took it under his wing. Sasha was afraid of him and had to go to him every time he called him, Sasha’s father, Živorad Radovanović, told “Kurir”.
Parents say that Sasha became an alcoholic because of these problems. At the urging of her daughter, she decided to seek professional help and just started treatment. The therapy, as the parents explain, worked well and Sasha was better.
However, Dragan continued to harass him. He threatened both us and our other son. I wanted to kill him. It’s not a shame for me, and Sasha has just started treatment and now has to go to jail – says the shocked father.
According to him, the conflict escalated on Wednesday night. Sasha played a raffle at a cafe. Dragan called him, took him to Bukulja and beat him there who knows how many times. Unable to bear the violence and persuasion to work with drugs, as Sasha’s parents say, he took the hunting rifle his grandfather had left him and shot Dragan, who was in his garden, from his bedroom window.
– When we heard the shot, we knew what happened. We are not surprised. We were hoping it would kill him. We are guilty of not reporting the attacks to the police, but Sasha was afraid to do so. He is not guilty. He just wanted to protect his family – Živorad explained.
Dragan was killed instantly, Sasha’s father called the police and surrendered immediately. Now he is arrested. The relatives of the victim did not want to speak on behalf of our newspaper.
Dragan incarcerated for murder?
According to unofficial information, Pavlović was convicted several times. Apparently he was also in jail for the murder. While serving his sentence in Petrovac in 2016, he attacked a prison cook and bit his ear with his teeth.
– Sasha saved a lot of people with this murder. Everyone was afraid of Dragan. He boasted of being a Petrovac cannibal. A neighbor even moved out of here because of him, Zivorad Radovanovic told “Kurir”.
