Kovid’s capabilities at KBC Dragisa Misovic are at 100 percent, said the institution’s head of radiology, Dr. Djordje Lalosevic, adding that his colleague, a radiologist, was among the patients who had contracted the disease caused by the corona virus for the second time.
The radiology doctor, whose clinical picture was very difficult for the first time, was recovering, after being ill for the first time, for more than two and a half months, now he has milder symptoms and today he is admitted to the clinic, says the Dr. Lalošević.
He adds that seven or eight more doctors from KBC Mišović are currently infected.
According to the data this morning, 178 patients were hospitalized in the kovid wards of that hospital, of which 11 are children and six are mothers, but that number may be even higher at this time, says Dr. Lalošević.
There are 32 patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 21 patients on mechanical ventilation.
Dr. Lalošević points out that a scan is the most reliable indicator of whether there is a corona virus infection or not.
Every patient admitted to the Mišović hospital should be examined with a scanner, says this expert, explaining that it is best to do this examination four or five days after having the first symptoms.
– The World Health Organization and large studies that have been carried out in the world agree that the discovery of the exploration is the most dominant in the diagnosis of covid. More than 92% is the accuracy of the scan finding, while PCR and rapid tests are well below that, and even on X-rays some things are not visible, Lalošević noted.
