10.50 We created the program “Serbia 20/25”
– The program includes a list of specific areas and projects worth close to 14 billion euros, in which we must work to reach the goal in 2025. The goal is 900 average salaries in Serbia, between 430 and 440 average pensions.
10.40 – “We are facing a serious fight against crime,” Brnabic said.
– In recent months, the mafia has thought it is stronger than the state. Our job is to show that the state is always stronger and that the institution is not played with. There is no tolerance for criminals and none of them will be protected. We must pay particular attention to the safety of President Aleksandar Vučić, who declared war on the mafia. We all witness threats to Vučić and his family, to the point that all verbal or physical attacks are normal and understandable to everyone. The funders of these attacks are very wealthy. Whatever the goal of a criminal gang and help itself in the fight against crime, it is protected. The key points in dealing a decisive blow to crime are as follows.
– Intersection of funding sources
– Breaking ties and networks of influence in state agencies, politics and the media.
10.30 – Ana Brnabić compared the salary of a health worker in the period from 2013 to today.
– The health care salary was embarrassingly low. The medical specialist earned 67,540 dinars, the nurse 32,454 dinars. By 2020, we have increased salaries for specialists by 57 percent and for nurses by 67 percent. We know that even that is not enough and that we will have to work much harder to pay health workers adequately, and that will, at the same time, be one of the priorities. We are working on the complete digitization of healthcare, we will provide all citizens with an “electronic card” with all the data that will be available to them at all times, as well as their doctors, in this way we will put citizens at the center of the sanitary system. The system will be more transparent, more efficient and will bring significant savings to the state budget that we will be able to invest in medical care. The challenges facing this government are also political in nature, I mean relations with Pristina, a dialogue on the normalization of the problem of establishing communities of Serbian municipalities, we will not renounce that.
10.15 – “Ana Brnabic: Serbia is no longer a country with fewer historical defeats “
Prime Minister Ana Brnabić addresses the deputies and was greeted with thunderous applause.
– Serbia is no longer a country that experiences historic defeats and has become a country that wins. We stop looking for excuses for failure, we start working, we stop whining. We have managed to initiate an important transformation of society and the economy based on knowledge and innovation. We have achieved dynamic GDP growth. This year we will be the country with the best economic results in Europe. The unemployment rate fell more than 6 percent and employment increased 10 percent. We have created about 200 thousand jobs. Average wages are 34 percent higher and the minimum wage has increased by 52 percent compared to 2016. We continue the fight against COVID-19, preserving the interests of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, the fight against organized crime and the war against the mafia, preserving Serbia’s independence and independent decision-making, the rule of law and accelerating reforms on our European path. The priority before this government is to protect people and support the health system in the fight against COVID-19. We are facing a difficult winter and a difficult year in 2021, in which we will have to continue this fight, just like the whole world. We hope that the world can only return to “some kind” of normalcy in 2022. The world will not recover economically until 2029.
Future ministers will not have the opportunity to sit in the famous parliamentary restaurant, because due to the corona virus, it works on the principle of catering, food is ordered and taken away. This morning the restaurant was empty and this is what today’s menu looks like.
