The concept looked more aggressive than the regular MiTo variant, with aerodynamic extras on the outside, while driving a 1.75-liter, 240-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.

Power was transmitted to the wheels with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Alfa Romeo then claimed that the MTA GTA from 0 to 100 km / h could be reached in just 5 seconds and could develop 250 km / h.

To achieve this performance, the car had to have low mass in addition to a strong engine, so some of the body parts were made of carbon fiber, and many of the mechanical components contained aluminum parts.
