The trial on Andrej Vučić’s lawsuit against the Vice President of the People’s Party and MP Miroslav Aleksić continued today at the First Court of First Instance in Belgrade due to Aleksić’s allegations in connection with the “Jovanjica” case, which have meanwhile been challenged by an expert.

Andrej Vučić sued Aleksić in a civil proceeding for violation of party and reputation, because Aleksić repeatedly said in public that he had information that the owner of the agricultural estate “Jovanjica” Predrag Koluvija, before his arrest in November 2019, called Andrej Vučić by phone. brother of the president of Serbia.

At today’s trial, the defendant Aleksić was questioned about the accusations he made, and the judge barred Vučić’s lawyer, Vladimir Đukanović, from most of the questions he wanted to ask him.

For the second time, as at the start of the trial in May, Aleksić’s lawyer, Borivoje Borović, requested the judge’s disqualification, claiming that he did not accept his arguments during Aleksić’s testimony.

Andrej Vučić’s lawyer said after the trial that Aleksić continues to carry out “Nazi propaganda” against President Aleksandar Vučić’s family on behalf of certain magnates, criminal circles and certain state structures.

“At today’s trial, they offered no proof for their claims, so it is clear as the day Aleksić blatantly lied that Koluvija called Andrej Vučić.” I think the point is to constantly criminalize and dehumanize the president’s family. ” Djukanovic told Tanjug.

He recalled that they had previously claimed that their client was the owner of the Franš restaurant, so it was established that he was not, so, as he claimed, they invented that there was a lot of land in Srem, then Jovanjica, and that he owned the bakery “Hleb i kifle”. “…

“We no longer know what they made up, as well as in this trial regarding the allegations against Jovanjica,” Vucieh’s lawyer said, noting that today Aleksic and his lawyer exerted, as he puts it, terrifying pressure on the judge.

“The judge even denied us questions, which would show that Aleksic is deeply involved in cooperating with certain criminal structures, who are doing all this to destabilize the state and the president, but that is the right of the judge,” Djukasnovic said, expressing his hope that the judge will not succumb to pressure from a group of people around Aleksić.

He hopes that the court will rule in his client’s favor and that Aleksić will have to pay him considerable compensation.

“And if he does not pay, let Djilas pay him or those who forced him to do all this. I especially emphasize that this is a great interest of the criminal magnate structures with certain state structures to do what they are doing,” he said Đukanović.

The trial of Koluvija and nine other defendants began today before the Belgrade Special Court, precisely on the accusation that they cultivated marijuana under artificial conditions on the “Jovanjica” farm in Stara Pazova in order to sell and obtain property.

An expert examination of his phones determined that he did not call Andrej Vučić prior to his arrest, as claimed by the opposition, the Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office, which is conducting proceedings against Koluvija, announced this winter.
