Customs agents seize 122,000 sedatives in Djerdap (PHOTO)

Yesterday, customs officers, in cooperation with the Djerdap border crossing police, prevented the smuggling of nearly 122,000 sedatives that are on the psychoactive substance list.

The infringement was discovered when a truck with a semi-trailer with Bujanovac plates, driven by a 50-year-old man from Leskovac, came to check out of the country.

When asked if there was anything he could report in addition to the insulating material authorized for export, which he was transporting to Romania, the driver answered in the negative.

However, during a detailed inspection of the truck load, four large cardboard boxes with a total of 8,116 blisters, or 121,740 1 mg sedative tablets, were found on the rock wool pallets.

Two more vials with a total of 25 3 mg tablets of the drug were found in the driver’s personal luggage.

The driver of the truck, along with the contraband drugs, was taken by the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office, and according to the order of the Prosecutor’s Office, the truck with the merchandise dispatched was temporarily stopped.
