The part of the Democratic Party that organized the electoral assembly last Saturday, and which is not recognized by the other part of the Democrats headed by Zoran Lutovac, verified yesterday the election of Branislav Lecic as president of that party at the Sava Center.
For the first time, Lecic addressed “his” membership in that capacity, among other things, reading a document entitled “What is not democratic”, which was prepared for the assembly by the first president of the DS, Dragoljub Micunovic.
Like in a dead end
– The current heaviest player in Aleksandar Vučić finally got a real opponent, and that is the Democratic Party, which must win precisely because it starts from scratch – said Lečić. He presented the program for Serbia in three points and announced an “uncompromising fight” against the government, in which, he says, all democrats will be equal. He reiterated his call to all former DS presidents to join the fight and said that their seats would remain vacant until they came themselves, and he was convinced that, as he himself claims, that would happen. At the electoral assembly, 384 delegates verified the mandates of Lecic and the vice-presidents: Dragoslav Sumarc, Jovana Jovanovic, Petra Radojcic, Milica Slijepcevic and Vojislav Jankovic. One of the founders of the DS, Vida Ognjenović, compared the situation in the match in the previous two years to the cars that, she says, entered a dead end and remained parked there. He recalled that along with 53 other colleagues, she was expelled from the DS, but, as she stated, it is a decision that has no significance, because the DS is “where its values are.”
Party expulsions
It should be remembered that in the elections of September 26, 2,485 members of the DS voted for Lecic, otherwise the only candidate, representing 71% of the members with the right to vote. This electoral assembly, as well as the elections, are not recognized by the DS leadership with Lutovac, so after its celebration last Saturday, 53 members were expelled from the party, including Lecic himself.

Suddenly excluded women
Natasa Vuckovic, a former DS deputy, yesterday posted a photo on Twitter with her fellow gamers, who, like her, were expelled from the match by decision of the Lutovac team. “All women are excluded at the same time,” he wrote.
