Residents of Donja Brnjica say the gunman was in the company of someone else.

They reported that the boys and girls in the assembled group told them that two men were walking towards them in the circle of the schoolyard and that they noticed a gun on one of them.

When they started to flee, they heard shots.

Unknown persons escaped from the school circle and police arrived at the scene 45 minutes after the incident was reported.

No one was injured among the assembled children.

Police found a bullet casing in the schoolyard and opened an investigation.

The event upset the remaining Serbs in Donja Brnjica, who were among the few north of Pristina towards Podujevo who were living in their homes after the 1999 conflict.

Serbs in this village hope that the police will shed light on the case, which was also filmed with security cameras.

Đurić demands the urgent arrest of the people who drew the firearm

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić, announced that he was demanding the urgent identification and arrest of people who were throwing firearms at Serbian children in Donja Brnjica, near Pristina.

“One of the attackers fired a bullet near the children and endangered human lives, and there can be no mercy for those people,” Đurić said.

He believes that there can be no justification for the slowness or lack of response from the police, because there are recordings of the attack.
