Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is meeting Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul today and a tete-a-tete conversation is expected in the early afternoon, without the presence of delegations.
Before that conversation, Vučić stated that it would be very important for Serbia and Turkey to have good cooperation.
– It is a force that is important in the world. Its demographic, economic and potential potential is excellent. We are trying to preserve the closest friendly relations and improve them, Vučić told TV Pink.
Speaking about the dialogue with Pristina, he said there were no surprises, emphasizing that Pristina did not meet her obligations in the 2013 SSO.
– I’m surprised Avdulah Hoti said that the conversation ended then. I don’t know if they brag about doing nothing or what it’s about – said Vučić.
He noted that the doors in Washington were no longer closed to Serbia as they used to be.
– They think they will continue to treat them like their son, a slightly restless teenager – said Vučić.
When asked about the new government and its composition, and the influence of the West on that, Vučić said that a part of them have their wishes.
– Laugh at that, then I tell you when I want to see you in your governments. I did not receive any wishes from the east – said Vučić.
As he said, “the government is always tailor-made for the people.”
He also stated that Serbia has respect in today’s world, as well as that he personally met with world officials five to ten times more than all the presidents since 2000.
– I understand that all that bothers them – said Vučić.
As he said, “he laughs to death when Djilas and Sholak recipients give lectures on morality.”
“They can’t find me a dinar if I got it from somewhere,” said Vučić.
Asked whether plans are being made for “its demolition”, the Serbian president said: “let them do it.”
“And why are they taking him down?” Higher salaries and pensions, now that we are done we will have more roads built than during Broz, the army and police have never been stronger. I don’t know what else anyone would want. – said Vučić.
