The Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar, visited the reconstruction works of the old one and the construction of the new building of the Serbian Clinical Center. He says that after the completion of the works, it will be the best and largest hospital in the region and beyond. Loncar also says that 23,000 citizens entered Serbia at 6pm on Friday, half of them from Montenegro.
The new building of the Serbian Clinical Center will house the Emergency Center, 300 beds for semi-intensive care, 150 beds for intensive care, 30 operating rooms, according to RTS.
The Health Minister explained that there will be four more scanners in the new building, two MRIs, two plus two angio-salons, many X-ray machines, many ultrasounds, he says, everything necessary.
“We expect the building to move in less than a year, the first patients to enter and the first interventions to be performed,” Loncar said.
He points out that the new building will mean a lot to both doctors and patients.
“This will be by far the best and largest hospital in the region and beyond. Something that we have dreamed of all our lives will come true and the citizens of Serbia will have medical care that they could only dream of,” he announced. Minister Loncar.
Zlatibor Lončar also says that as of Friday at 6 p.m., 23,000 citizens entered Serbia, half of them from Montenegro, and that 36 had symptoms of kovida-19 at the same entrance.
“Imagine the situation if we did not catch them in time. In a couple of days it would be 360 and in a few more days, 3,000. Once again, I ask everyone to understand where we are,” Loncar warned.
