The vice president of the Freedom and Justice Party, Marinika Tepic, showed documents that, she claims, prove that the company of Igor Brnabic, brother of the Prime Minister of Serbia, received more than 40 million euros from the budget in the two years since his election .
After addressing journalists in front of the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office building in Belgrade, Tepic went and handed over the evidence to that institution, showing the business of Igor Brnabić’s Aseko company with state companies and institutions.
“Igor Brnabić’s company, Aseko, received more than 40 million euros two years after the election of his sister Ana Brnabić as Prime Minister. He received 20 million euros from Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) alone, and until then the profits of the company were minors, “he said. Tepic at a press conference in front of the Attorney General’s Office in Belgrade.
As you said, in addition to EPS, the prime minister’s brother’s company also received money from the National Employment Service of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce and many others.
Tepic added that after the appointment of Ana Brnabic as Prime Minister in June 2017, in August the Office of Information Technologies and Electronic Administration was inaugurated, which by law is directly responsible for it.
“On November 15, 2017, that office awarded a 180 million dinar contract to the company of the prime minister’s brother. This is the most direct conflict of interest possible. I don’t know if it has ever been that clear,” he said.
Igor Brnabic received the money, added Tepic, from the Serbian Government Information Technology Office for the creation of a “central population register” and said it was “interesting in the year of the fake elections” that the brother of the Prime Minister has a record that the Republic Statistics Office may not have.
Tepic emphasized that the Aseko company does not always do business directly with institutions that are financed from the budget, and cited the example of the Ministry of Justice’s business with the company “Atos IT Solutions”, where the Prime Minister’s brother’s company is located. in the provider group.
