The president of the Freedom and Justice Party (SAA), Dragan Djilas, told the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, that the information he published, according to which Serbia joins the global program of access to the vaccine against coronavirus, it was “very good news” and, Djilas said.
Brnabic assessed on Twitter that the opposition in Serbia is “incompetent and uninformed”, reacting to the assertion of the United Opposition of Serbia (UOPS) that Serbia is not part of the “COVAX Facility” program.
After Brnabic announced an agreement with COVAX on September 18, Djilas explained that an official letter had arrived from the European Commission on September 15 that Serbia was not part of the “COVAX Facility” program, which is administered by the Kovid vaccine. -19. “Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization” in cooperation with the World Health Organization.
The SAA said that in response to the prime minister, Djilas claimed that the European Union “set aside several billion euros” to fund a program that should provide access to the vaccine to low- and middle-income countries.
“In the same letter, the EU encourages us to participate in (that) program which should provide the citizens of Serbia with a safe vaccine and in which there are 44 countries, including North Macedonia and Montenegro,” he wrote.
