Strahinja Stojanovic, 30, who is linked to the murder of Belgrade lawyer Dragoslav Miso Ognjanovic, was killed yesterday around noon in New Belgrade in the explosion of a bomb placed under his BMW X5 car. In the horrific explosion, which occurred on Omladinskih Brigada Street, Stojanović reportedly lost both legs and doctors fought for his life for several hours, but he died in the Emergency Center.

Colombian Sonja Suárez Gómez (45), who was co-pilot in Stojanović’s jeep, died with minor injuries.

– The explosion was terrible, there were many cars at that time near the burning jeep and it is a true miracle that there are no victims. The young man was in the vehicle, both his legs had practically been torn off, it seemed as if his entire lower body had been blown up. However, although he had terrible injuries, he spoke with the ambulance doctors. Before he was put in the car and taken away, his mother came to the crime scene, called her son and cried, tried to reach him, the police barely stopped her, a witness told Kurir and added that she was a woman who was her only had glass cuts in the car and muttered something in a foreign language.

Parts of the car flew due to the explosion and several tens of meters, and the car stopped not far from the bus station.

– It is suspected that the highly destructive explosive device was placed under the car, under the driver’s seat, and that it was remotely activated while it was in motion. That is, a few moments before the bomb exploded, the BMW exited the garage. The killer was probably nearby and waited to make sure Stojanović was in the car, says Kurir’s interlocutor who is familiar with the case, adding that the police are visiting all nearby buildings to get video surveillance that can help them in the investigation.

Survived the first attack

Let us remind you that Stojanović was also the victim of a bomb attack in August 2018, when his car exploded in the Galenika settlement. At the time of the explosion, Stojanović was not in the car because he returned to the apartment to find his mobile phone. Former Miss Marbella Olas Bilbao González (20) was seriously injured at that time and, after her recovery, announced on social media that she had married Stojanović.

Stojanović reportedly stayed in Spain for a long time because it was speculated that he was included in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Belgrade lawyer Dragoslav Mišo Ognjanović in August last year and that he is suspected of being involved in the crime.

As we learn, it is believed that he was in Serbia during the last six months, because that was when the entry of Colombia into our country was registered.

– Stojanović is suspected of having participated in the liquidation of the lawyer and that he followed Ognjanović before the murder. Therefore, it is believed that his liquidation is a continuation of the confrontation between two criminal groups from Montenegro – says a source in Kurir and explains that Ognjanovic was the defense lawyer of Luka Bojovic and representative of the Bojovic family during the trial for the murder of the brother minor of Luka, Nikola and Milos Vidakovic in Budva. During the proceedings, Stojanović was questioned as a witness, because one of the accused, who was herself part of the criminal group, claimed that it was Strahinja Stojanović who ordered the murder of her godfather Vidaković.

His father was also killed

– Stojanović was close to Miloš Delibašić, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for these two crimes that occurred in 2013. During the trial, the defendant Miloš Vojinović claimed that the murder of Vidaković was ordered to Delibašić by Stojanović, with whom he had a fight for a woman. As Vojinović said at the time, in return, Strahinja Stojanović should have killed Luka Đurović, close to Luka Bojović – recalls Kurir’s interlocutor and adds that Stojanović, as a witness in court, said then that he knew nothing about criminal acts and he didn’t want to answer questions.

By the way, Strahinja Stojanović’s father, Paja, was murdered in a waiting room in the Galenika settlement in September 2015.

A witness to the blast yesterday told Kurir that it was so strong that the jeep flew about thirty meters to the bus stop, leaving the parts that fell off.

– I was sitting in a cafe, about fifty meters away, when an explosion was heard and the car began to burn. I ran to him, someone mentioned the kids so I was afraid they weren’t in the back seat. I tried to open the door, but there was no one behind. The woman was almost unharmed, had cuts and the young man was all bloody, he did not have his right leg at all – says an eyewitness and adds that people immediately ran and tried to put out the fire in the jeep with extinguishers.
