The president of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), Vladimir Kostić, declared today that the Academy is not familiar with the Washington agreement, as well as that no one consulted him about it.

“In an interview, I said that the Academy does not have richer contacts with government sources, which of course no one believed, than any other citizen,” Kostic said.
According to him, SANU was not invited to any division of responsibility towards the “events that surround us”.
He claimed that numerous academics gave their opinion and that they were “heterogeneous.”
“I will welcome the right of every academic to declare as they see fit, but as an institution I want to tell you that we really don’t have more information than is in the press, and that there is a lot of information there, I guess you didn’t ask that question. as you know, so do the members of the Academy, “said Kostic.
