The Protector of Citizens, Zoran Pašalić, announced that the Ministry of the Interior confirmed to him that criminal charges had been brought against the well-known “YouTuber” for allegedly illegal sexual acts with a minor, which were reported in the media.
According to the statement, the Protector of Citizens received information from the media about the alleged illegal sexual acts of BI, known under the pseudonym Baka Prase on YouTube, with a minor, as well as his confession in the media that he maintained sexual relations with a minor, but and BI’s misogynistic discourse directed at women.
It is added that in the procedure to control the regularity and legality of the work of the Ministry of the Interior, the Protector of Citizenship asked that ministry to inform him about the measures it would take in cooperation with other competent bodies in relation to this case.
The Ministry of the Interior states in its response that the agents of the Criminal Police Directorate carried out the corresponding controls and that they determined that on July 7 and 8, 2020, two complaints were received from citizens by email to the address [email protected] where a video was pointed out on the ‘YouTube’ platform, in which BI publishes the content of the communication achieved through the social network Instagram with minors, as well as that he had sexual relations with a minor ”, said Pasalic.
It added that, according to the Interior Ministry, the reports with the archived recording were forwarded to the Special Department for Combating High-Tech Crime of the Belgrade Superior Prosecutor’s Office on July 8.
Pasalic asked the competent authorities to take all the measures in their power to avoid the disturbing behavior of certain famous people towards citizens.
He assessed that public figures have “greater responsibility for their behavior and every word they say,” and that for that reason, they should not use their appearance in public exclusively for personal promotion.
