Epidemiologist Predrag Kon said that when kindergartens start operating, the most basic thing is that kindergarten students are examined and that the evaluation of children is not mandatory, but it is a medical examination. Immunologist Srdja Jankovic estimated that the risk of going to kindergarten would be higher if the children were with the grandparents.

Cohn, while answering a question from N1 viewers during his appearance on Pressing, recalled that a third of Belgrade parents said they wanted to send their children to kindergartens and that it was difficult to provide child protective equipment.

When it came to vaccination, Jankovic said it was neither desirable nor necessary to delay vaccination for children.

“Prerequisites should be provided, at the health center level, so that there is no risk that healthy children are at risk in terms of infection. This is accomplished by separating them from the sick children section under normal conditions,” Jankovic said.

He added that the systematic delay in vaccination due to Covid-19 would be devastating.

When asked why the number of deceased medical personnel was not disclosed, Cohn said the personal data could not be disclosed, and claimed that the doctors’ union had already released the data.

N1: But no one is asking for the names to be announced, but the number.

Fraud: I take it as a criticism.

The truth is always above everything.

Speaking about the problems of diabetics who need to go for a walk every day, Kon said that he himself was diabetic and that they had the ability to walk.

“If we talk about diabetics over 65, a solution could be found through their doctors who needed to submit a request. I argue that walking alone inside the apartment can be a substitute,” Kon said.

A patient is positive for the coronavirus for the fifth time, and regarding this, Jankovic said that there are a minority of people who outgrow the virus, but release it from the body for a time.

“The longest period was 67 days. It is not common, but it is happening. The good news is that the virus cannot remain in the body indefinitely,” Jankovic explained.

In response to a question about the strict measures imposed in Serbia, Cohn said it was done mainly because he did not respect what was requested.

“We received information, mainly from the police, to what extent self-isolation was not respected,” Cohn added.

Cohn also said that everyone who is Covid positive and who subsequently dies is treated as deceased by Covid.

Jankovic added that most of them have a characteristic clinical picture and that they all die the way Covid-19 leads to death.

“First of all, I mean serious lung damage, based on that we can say who really died of Covid,” said Jankovic.

Cohn recalled that there was a change in protocol when it came to the original rule that there were two consecutive negative results for a patient to be counted as fully cured.

“Now, with a negative result, they send him to self-isolation for another two weeks and then they evaluate him for another test that supports his cure. This obligation falls on the individual, it must be reported to the Covid dispensary and this is the responsibility of the chosen doctor. The risk It is insignificant because but negative once and without symptoms, “says Kon.

Comparing the situation in the region, Cohn said it was “not as catastrophic” across the region.

“We will compare later, we can’t do it now because we don’t use the same tests. We don’t count the deaths exactly the same, but I don’t think it’s a big difference. My colleagues in Croatia did a great job doing their job,” Kohn said, noting that did not follow so many other countries.

Jankovic said it was tempting to compare number by number.

“The methodology has differences, for example, the use of a rapid test that has a much lower sensitivity. There are no important differences, where the nuances were more favorable than the analyzes will show,” Jankovic said.
