Ninoslav Jovanović, better known as the Malča barber, was taken to the Niš High Court today, where the trial will continue.

At 10:55 a.m., accompanied by five prison guards, Jovanovic was escorted to the court building with handcuffs, a protective mask and a visor.

At today’s hearing, an expert psychologist from the SZB Belgrade committee of experts and doctors from the Nis Clinical Center were summoned.

Jovanovic is accused of kidnapping a girl on the way to school on December 20 last year.

He was arrested after 17 days of intense police and military search, on January 5, at the mulch cemetery near his home.

So far, a preparatory hearing and a main trial have been held, in which he admitted the facts for which he is accused, but invoked his sanity, although the medical expert opinion showed that he was aware of his actions. He therefore requested that the experts from the Belgrade Special Penitentiary Hospital, who carried out the neuropsychiatric examination of the defendant Jovanović, declare his sanity in court.
