Šarčević: Everything is ready for the beginning of the school year

Education Minister Mladen Šarčević assessed that everything is ready for the start of the new school year in Serbia. Most of the parents stated that their children have been attending school since September 1.

Stating that 97 percent of parents in Serbia said that their children attend classes in schools As of September 1, Sarcevic said that in 38 percent of schools in Serbia, mainly rural and smaller minority schools, there will be no need to divide classes into groups of up to 15 students to apply epidemiological measures.

“In 27 percent of the schools, there will be a partial division of the classes, while in about 300 large schools in the city, it will be necessary to divide the classes,” Sarcevic told Pink television.

He added that the classes for the entire month of September were recorded on the Serbian Radio Television programs.

Classes in schools in Serbia were suspended in mid-March when a state of emergency was declared due to the coronavirus epidemic.
