“We want to be at a positive zero to the end. We will certainly be better than everyone. It is important for me to mention that we have given additional security to citizens, who can trust the state, so we spread optimism,” said Mali.
“Imagine a family of four, and they will get 400 euros, which is not a small amount, we have to start our economy faster. We have to be the first. When the situation in Serbia happened in the history of the state, the state helped its citizens in this way. ” said the minister.
Mali recalled that the payment of assistance of 100 euros for retirees begins today.
The Minister emphasized that the payment for all the other citizens of Serbia will be successive and that it will be paid to everyone in the first week of June, much earlier than previously announced. He recalled that the deadline was set for everyone to register before June 5, and that the full amount payment process for everyone should be completed no later than two days after that deadline.
“The contact center opened tonight and we have 1,711 applications as of this morning,” he specified, adding that he was impressed by the number of 3,080,000 citizens who had applied through the electronic application since Wednesday. As he said, when two million more citizens are added to that number, for whom the payment begins today, it reaches up to 5 million people.
“Only today, 950 thousand pensioners will receive 100 euros each. They can withdraw them in their banks tomorrow. The application lasts until June 5, after which the payment will begin successively. This is a way of thanking,” said Mali.
The Minister of Finance pointed out that he is not giving up on the “Serbia 2025” project, because it is a key project, and that the works in the Moravian Corridor have already started as part of it.
“The project has not been interrupted in any way, we are only moving its implementation in a few months”; Mali added.
“Our strategy in recent years has been reindustrialization and that has proven to be the right thing to do,” Mali said, adding that we have diversified the economy, making it easier to deal with the crisis in the crown.
“Last year, we had a record in attracting foreign direct investment,” recalled the minister, saying that we left € 150m in budget rebalancing to support foreign factories to come.
“We have proven to be a stable partner and investors like to see that,” he said.
