The situation in the Rasina district remains serious and worrying, as confirmed by the latest data from the Krusevac Public Health Institute.
In the last 24 hours, another 132 citizens were infected with the coronavirus, most of them in Kruševac -68, followed by 35 in Aleksandrovac, 12 in Brus, 11 in Ćićevac, 5 in Trstenik and 1 in Varvarin.
So far, 39,910 people have been sampled, of which 15,970 tested positive for the Kovid 19 virus and 34,957 under health surveillance. 359 people died, 238 men and 121 women, and 13,121 people were cured.
In the Infectious Diseases Department of the Kruševac General Hospital, 129 patients were hospitalized with a milder clinical picture, 14 more than the day before. So far, 473 students and 121 educators have been infected in primary and secondary schools.
The immunization process in the Rasina district is exceeding expectations, so far 36,508 have been vaccinated, of which 21,630 with two doses, and in Krusevac 21,334 people have been vaccinated and 11,954 have been revaccinated.
According to Dr. Predrag Pavlovic, director of the Institute of Public Health in Krusevac, the first case of coronavirus in the Rasina district was confirmed on March 20 last year, just two weeks after a zero patient was registered in Backa Topola. .
– Of a total of 44 people infected in the month in which the pandemic was declared, 15,838 were infected. So far, 359 people have lost the battle for the crown, mostly from Krusevac, 191. The youngest deceased patient was 22 years old and the oldest 95. There are equally old and young among those infected, with a higher mortality rate in the elderly population. In the third wave, diseases are also registered in babies, fortunately without or with mild symptoms, says this epidemiologist.
