LESKOVAC – An 87-year-old man from Lebane shot a man who tried to rob his home last night, it was confirmed to Kurir.
As we were told at Leskovac General Hospital, the man who shot was operated on and is in critical condition. “The gunshot wound went through the duodenum and kidney. His kidney was removed and, unfortunately, he is still in critical condition,” says the director of Leskovac General Hospital, Nebojsa Dimitrijevic.
Police said the 87-year-old MC was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of attempted murder.
“It is suspected that last night, he fired a firearm in the direction of a thirty-four-year-old man, inflicting serious life-threatening bodily injuries. The wounded man was taken to Leskovac General Hospital and the suspect kept his weapon in legal possession, “the police statement read.
By order of the Leskovac Superior Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the prosecutor with a criminal report.
