In the ongoing crisis staff session, the medical side called for the complete shutdown of Serbia for seven days, “Blic” learned.
However, the decision was not made because it would require the introduction of a state of emergency.
In practice, the debate is ongoing and two parts of the crisis seat, economically and medically, advocate two different options.
– Total blockade of Serbia, with the exception of grocery stores and pharmacies, or continuation of the strict application of current measures, including limited working hours of cafes and restaurants and shopping centers from Monday to Friday until 8 pm and the weekends until 2 pm – says the source of “Blic”.
The proposal was made during the discussion at the Crisis Staff, which began today at 3 pm
This session takes place just one day after the weekend, and after a partial closure during which almost everything in Serbia was open until 2pm, except for shops and pharmacies.
It also takes place after the release of today’s dramatic cross-section in regards to the corona virus. Of the 13,286 analyzed in the last 24 hours, 3,469 were positive. Unfortunately, 16 patients died. There are 164 patients on respirators.
