Applications for enrollment in the faculties of the University of Belgrade will also be possible online, in addition to the usual way of presenting documents upon arrival at the faculty, it was said today at the Senate session of the University of Belgrade.
– To prevent students from entering large groups and being in contact which is not necessary at the moment, we are trying to provide an online application for the competition – said the vice-rector for teaching at the University of Belgrade, Petar Bulat, in a session conducted online.
He said he hopes the online application will be rolled out in the coming years as well, thereby further increasing the quality of service to students.
When it comes to taking the exam, the deputy dean of science at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Belgrade, Tatjana Pekmezović, says that everything that can still be kept that way will be online.
– The oral exams must be carried out in rooms with a maximum of three people inside, a teacher and two students, to guarantee a distance between them and to wear masks. We will also have to remove clinical examinations from the hospital in our faculty and keep them elsewhere, in the amphitheatres, the library, regarding all measures, he said.
If the exam is in the form of a test, she said it will also be done according to a special procedure: that students should wear gloves and the tests should be stored in special bags.
The dormitories were also discussed in the session, and the director of the “Belgrade” Student Center, Goran Minić, says that they informed the students that they can return to the dormitories from May 15, starting at 7.30 in the morning.
– At first, I hope that around 3,000, 3,500 students will come and that the greatest number of them will arrive during the weekend – he said.
He said student restaurants will also start operating.
– Eight will work, out of a total of 14 of our restaurants. We think that is enough to start – Minić said.
Although the work suspension was in force, it stated that the Institution worked during the emergency situation and provided services to 160 foreign students who were unable to return to their homes and to 22 of our students who, for specific reasons, were also unable to return to their homes.
– All of our facilities are regularly maintained and sanitized multiple times … we try to welcome students in a more pleasant and safe environment, so we use empty dorms to do things we couldn’t do when students are there – Minić said and added that he painted all the entrances to the Student City, planters, whitewashed rooms, renovated bathrooms …
In the session it was said that students should wear masks and gloves when they come to the faculty, as well as that educational institutions must provide reserve protection equipment.
The next session of the Belgrade University Senate will take place on May 27, and then on June 10.
