Colombian Sonja Suárez Gómez (45), who was slightly injured in the jeep explosion in which her boyfriend Strahinja Stojanović (30) was killed in New Belgrade on September 13, 2020, her passport was returned and she left Serbia with the permission of the judicial authorities.
It should be remembered that after Stojanović’s murder, the Colombian woman was prohibited from leaving Serbia until the end of the investigation, as she was an important witness to the liquidation.
He was screaming in pain
– Sonja Suárez Gómez was not allowed to leave Serbia, because the investigators thought that if she left the country, they would never be able to question her. She was an important witness, because in the last six months of her life she practically did not separate from him. After the statement he gave, there were no more reasons for his arrest, his passport was returned and he left Serbia, says Kurir’s interlocutor.
Remember that the Colombian was heard as the first witness in the investigation, and that the investigators were especially interested in the fact that the Colombian posted on her Instagram profile, which is open and everyone can see the photos, as well as photographs, the places where they are.
Last shared image
Sonja Suárez Gómez regularly posted photos with Strahinja on Instagram, and the last joint photo was posted on her profile on October 23, 41 days after her murder. The description of the photo says “41 days with you in paradise”. By the way, after the murder, the Colombian said in the audience that they met at a party in Madrid in 2019 and that a short time later they began a relationship. As she said, she was in Serbia for the first time at the beginning of the previous year, and then it was with her daughter, who gave birth, for a short time. He arrived in Serbia in March and lived with him until Strahinja’s death.
– At the hearing, he stated that Strahinja had no fear for his own safety and that he did not suspect that he was in danger. He said they moved normally, traveled, trained in gyms in the capital and visited cafes and restaurants. During the interrogation, he also said that he did not reveal his location in the photos and thus somehow helped the murderer, “because they did not hide, and Strahinja knew that he was in the photos and that did not bother him,” recalls the interlocutor of the investigation.
He also reportedly said that Strahinja was not involved in a crime, but that he owned a parking lot and dealt in cars. On the fateful day, when the car bomb exploded, the car races began in Ušće.
Bosnian Warrant blew up Strahinja?
The Belgrade High Court, on suspicion of the murder of Strahinja Stojanović, issued an arrest warrant for Milivoje L. (51) from Gradiška in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was allegedly previously linked to criminal acts, and is suspected of placing an explosive device under Strahinja’s jeep, activating it with a remote control, and then fleeing the scene on an electric bicycle.
– Strahinja was screaming in pain, I tried to get him out of the car. He did not know what happened, he allegedly said, stating that Strahinja passed away in his arms.
Another blast
It should be remembered that Strahinja Stojanović, who had a criminal record, was also the target of an attack in 2018. His then-girlfriend, former Miss Marbella Olac Bilbao González, was seriously injured in the explosion of a bomb that was also placed under his car. Fortunately, he survived the attack, as he returned to the apartment to search for his forgotten cell phone.
This attack occurred just two weeks after the murder of well-known Belgrade lawyer Dragoslav Mišo Ognjanović on July 28, 2018. It is interesting that Stojanović’s name was linked to this murder.
