The deputy mayor added that they requested in the tender that the money on the card be replaced by recycling.
– We are starting a completely new recycling and waste separation system in the city. We are working on 17 recycling yards and will install vending machines throughout the city where citizens will be able to insert PET containers. Instead of receiving money for that package, they will be able to attach the card and recharge it with money that they will use for public transport or some other discounts that they will get with it, Vesić added.
