A few days ago, the city of Belgrade announced a tender for the selection of a new partner for ticket collection and management of public transport vehicles, and Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić says one of the conditions is that the new card it is used not only for public transport but also for various benefits.
Vesić explained that the new card, which will look similar to the Busplus card, will be called the Belgrade Card, and that citizens will be able to pay for public transport with it, but they will also get discounts when entering museums, theaters, swimming pools in the city, Payments. information stations and other city functions …
“We will talk to catering and other retail facilities to also offer discounts for the Belgrade card and thus allow people to get additional benefits with that card,” Vesić said.
The deputy mayor added that they requested in the tender that the money on the card be replaced by recycling.
– We are starting a completely new recycling and waste separation system in the city. We are working on 17 recycling yards and will install vending machines throughout the city where citizens will be able to insert PET containers. Instead of receiving money for that package, they will be able to attach the card and recharge it with money that they will use for public transport or some other discounts that they will get with it, Vesić added.
