An hour after midnight, an anonymous man from Novi Pazar, who was driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, ran over a traffic police vehicle in which there were two members of the Police Administration of that city.
The traffic police patrol was advancing on Stefan Nemanja Street when, in inexplicable circumstances, a vehicle traveling at high speed collided with them. A traffic policeman was slightly injured by the force of the blow, while his colleague suffered a contusion to the neck and shoulders.
A police patrol and an ambulance arrived at the scene. The injured policemen received help at the General Hospital of Novi Pazar.
The man who caused the accident had more than two per thousand alcohol in his blood and, according to unofficial information, he also tested positive for cocaine.
He was transferred to the detention unit of the Police Administration to recover sobriety, after which the circumstances in which the incident occurred will be determined.
