About 240 patients are being treated at the CBC “Dr Dragiša Mišović”, of which 70 are in intensive care units. Dr. Duska Ignjatovic, chief of anesthesia, says work for them is not slowing down. He also noted that another wave is expected after Christmas.
– Throughout the year we were filled to the last place, and in December we had between 30 to 50 patients who were discharged but the same amount we received, until a few days ago we were full to the last bed, until the hospital in Batajnica, it is now a little less – says Ignjatović.
Speaking about the age structure of the patients, Dr. Ignjatović says that he is middle-aged. He claims that it is unnecessary to repeat that he should be responsible.
– The holidays are coming, we understand the need for people to get together, but we haven’t stopped for a year, a lot of doctors and nurses got sick, now those teams are a little smaller, a man practically stays to do the work for three she affirms.
It also warns of what awaits us after Christmas.
– After Christmas, we expect another wave. The shopping malls are full to the max, people are printing in the malls, they have masks but that is not enough, we will feel it very soon – pointed out Dr. Ignjatović.
