The United States is preparing a great return: “going back” to the Balkans, and whether it will choose Sarajevo or Pristina as a starting point depends on the global plan, which is currently not in the interest of Western interests. However, next year will not be a year of outcome for Bosnia and Herzegovina or for Kosovo, because both issues depend on the Serbian factor, writes Sputnik.
Zoran Milivojevic, a former diplomat, points out that the Americans have no priority in the Balkans when it comes to Kosovo or Bosnia and Herzegovina, because they see it as part of a single package with the West’s strategic goal of including this part of the world in its sphere of interest.
Serbs are a major obstacle to America
– The West faces serious problems. In an effort to preserve its global position, it will export part of its internal problems, that is, by solving the problems in the present parts of the Balkans, it will try to write off its internal problems. However, both issues are up to the Serbs, Milivojevic believes.
According to him, the United States would choose ByH for its great return to this region only if it considered it easier for them.
– The unification or federalization of Bosnia and Herzegovina implies questioning the position of the Republika Srpska. As far as what can be solved more quickly and efficiently, that is, which side could we focus more on: Kosovo or Bosnia and Herzegovina, then we would choose Bosnia and Herzegovina, but that would only be in the short term, because essentially , it is a package. and they cannot be separated from each other – says Milivojevic.
They may “start” from Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Serbs of the Republika Srpska will certainly not allow it, he notes, just as Serbia will not recognize Kosovo. But he adds that there may be more pressure on BiH for the simple reason that the power ratio is 2: 1.
– Greater pressure from Serbia and perhaps the assessment that it is easier to break the Serbian factor in Bosnia and Herzegovina than here in Serbia. Because Serbia is still a state and it is more difficult to break it if something does not work, says Milivojevic.
Banja Luka political scientist Andjelko Kozomara is convinced that the result will happen in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but, as he says, he is convinced that it will not happen.
– The interests of the three nations are diametrically opposed, because the two nations do not want centralization, while the Bosnians only want that. That is why they trust Biden from the time he was a Bosnian lobbyist who defended the bombing of Serbs in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
