Miloš Miljanović (33) from Herceg Novi, who entered a cafe in Vračar in Belgrade in broad daylight armed with an automatic rifle and with a silicone mask on his face, allegedly had the task of liquidating Miloš Nilović Runja, who is connected to Skaljarski. clan.
The suspected Montenegrin citizen was arrested a few hours after the unsuccessful execution, in a barn apartment located just 300 meters from the café.
They ran away
– Miljanovic, allegedly close to the Kavac clan, is suspected of being tasked with liquidating Nilovic. However, when he entered the cafe to commit the murder, he did not manage, so he did not fire a bullet, the source says, adding:
– It is presumed that the executor was disturbed by the fact that the people sitting with Nilović at the table saw a man in black, with a hood over his head, as he approached the cafe. The company was supposed to be on guard, because they suspected they were the target. As soon as they saw the suspicious person, they jumped out of their chairs and fled. Nilovic was saved from death by breaking into the cafeteria behind the bar and closing the door. Although the attacker followed him, he could not get into the pantry, turned the bar a little more and left the cafe. Shortly after him, Nilovic left the cafe, in the back entrance.
Miljanović is suspected of going to a previously prepared barn after the failed liquidation. A large number of members of the police, armed with long barrels, occupied all of Vracar the day before yesterday in search of an armed man.
I had a tip
– Police broke into that department early yesterday morning and arrested Miljanović practically in his sleep. They handcuffed him while wearing briefs and a sports shirt. There was found a “Uzi” rifle with a silencer, a silicone mask and a black tracksuit in which the suspect was dressed during the coffee break, says the interlocutor.
He adds that Miljanovic has no criminal record in Serbia, and that it is suspected that he entered our country illegally.
– It is being verified whether and since when he received the money to commit the crime. This is suspected to be a continuation of the calculation of the warring Kotor, Skaljarski and Kavački clans, the source says.
Who is Runjo
He was arrested in “DURMITOR”, he witnessed a murder
Milos Nilovic, better known as Runjo, was released to the public after a spectacular arrest at the Durmitor restaurant in June 2017. He was handcuffed while sitting and eating lunch at a restaurant with a group of friends, and proceedings were initiated at his against for the illegal transport of arms. Apparently he is considered a man close to the Skaljar clan and, as the media wrote, he was in the company of businessman Vladimir Popović Pop when he was assassinated on December 1, 2018 in a bar in the center of Belgrade. Nilovic then, as speculated, saw the assassin in time and managed to find refuge.
Stage of Athens
The killer planned to shoot in front of the guests
The attempted liquidation that took place in central Belgrade recalls the murder of Skaljar clan leaders, Igor Dedović and Stevan Stamatović, in January at the “Voskopula” restaurant in Athens. Recall that the leaders of this clan were approached by four executioners while dining with their wives and children, and they were shot with automatic weapons.
– The scenario would be almost identical if the men sitting at the table did not realize the danger in time. It is almost certain that someone would be killed in front of numerous restaurant guests, says the Kurir source.
