The working hours will be maintained until 20 hours during the weekend for all stores, catering, shopping centers and service activities, as was the case on weekdays this week, it was decided this morning in the Staff session of Crisis.
As Danas finds out unofficially, the crisis staff will decide on possible new measures for the holidays in a new session on Monday, December 28.
The Crisis Staff session ended, but there were no statements, but some of the members, as stated, will address the media representatives today at 3 pm at the press conference.
The crisis staff session for the suppression of the spread of the corona virus began this morning at 8 o’clock in the Palace of Serbia.
On Monday, December 21, the Crisis Staff made a decision on the extension of the “deadline” of the working hours of catering companies and shopping centers until 2:00, which were in force until today.
Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorović stated last night that there will probably be no movement bans during the New Year.
“I think it is not necessary for us if working hours and other measures are respected,” he said.
He revealed that there is a possibility that stores that would otherwise be closed on non-working days due to existing restrictive measures are open during the weekend, so that citizens can buy gifts and other products for the next holidays.
“If we work on the weekend until 3 in the afternoon, we will make sure that people do it, so that there are no crowds during the working day. Then we would have less pressure on New Years Eve. However, for a long time there has been some pressure from the restaurant industry. “I must tell you that a good part of them still adhere to the measure, and looking at the report that the inspections give us, it would be said that most of the caterers respect the working day,” he says.
