The first doses of the Pfizer vaccine will arrive in Serbia on Monday or Tuesday, says the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Loncar, adding that in the first tranche a little less than 5,000 doses will arrive and that they will be received by users of residences.
He stated that yesterday the import license for vaccines of the companies Pfizer and Biontek was issued at the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, adding that the first doses would arrive as promised before the end of the year.
– It is a great success if it is known that only a few countries in Europe and the world can boast that they will have vaccines in that period – the minister told reporters in Novi Sad.
He hopes that other manufacturers will be licensed and that citizens of Serbia will have the opportunity to choose the vaccine.
He points out that the vaccination will be free.
As he himself says, Serbia was among the first to receive vaccines, because it was one of the first five countries in the world to sign an agreement with Pfizer.
Loncar added that the current measures are also in effect this weekend, because that works.
