BELGRADE – Pensioners will receive 5,000 dinars each today, as confirmed by the Ministry of Finance.
The 1.7 million pensioners will receive an aid of 5,000 dinars.
– Early this morning, the payment of a one-time aid for retirees in the amount of 5,000 dinars began, says Finance Minister Siniša Mali, adding that he expects the money to go to retiree accounts today. He told TV Pink that the aid will be paid to 1,717,000 retirees.
“That is 5,000 dinars of one-time aid and the crown of economic measures with which the Serbian Government came out in March this year, when the coronary virus pandemic began,” said the minister. He stated that he expects pensioners to increase pensions by 5.9 percent according to the Swiss formula from January 1.
In other words, pensioners’ pensions will increase by 5.9 percent as of January 1, according to the Swiss formula for adjusting pensions. The Swiss formula predicts that once a year, pensions will adjust 50 percent for inflation and 50 percent for wage growth.
