Montenegrin Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić said he was “considering” lifting the ban on entering Montenegro for the likes of Matija Bećković and Vlado Georgiev, he announced on his RTCG website.

The news is in November 2018. The Government stated that there is no official list of persons whose entry into Montenegro is prohibited, but that it has an opinion on some undesirable persons and that the document includes, among others, the name of academic Matija Bećković.

During the parliamentary session in July last year, Interior Minister Mevludin Nuhodžić also said that there was no entry ban for Bećković. Tomanović’s law firm recently announced that the Herceg Novi Police Administration prohibited Georgiev from entering Montenegro for a period of 10 years.
When asked if this also applies to the former Serbian ambassador to Montenegro, Krivokapic said that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but if someone is an ambassador, then they should watch their statement.

Varhelji: EU stands ready to help Montenegro make progress

Varhelji said that they discussed Montenegro’s priorities when it comes to EU accession negotiations.
