Our country fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Cyprus. These are the two basic messages from the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Serbia and Cyprus, Nikola Selaković and Nikos Hristodulidis in Nicosia. The head of Serbian diplomacy chose Cyprus for the first bilateral visit.
– I would like to thank the Government, the President and everyone else in Cyprus for supporting Serbia on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, but also for their strong support for Serbia in the process of accession to the European Union – said Selakovic, adding that Serbia and Cyprus have good relations for many years.
Before the speech began, Selaković greeted the hosts in Greek and was jokingly told by a Cypriot colleague that he did not know that his biography also said that he knew Greek.
The Foreign Minister also met with the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President of Cyprus, Kyriakos Kuros, and the two interlocutors reiterated their views on open issues that Serbia and Cyprus individually have, but also confirmed that the two countries have Friendly relationships.
