House arrest is one of the measures that lawyer Hooper proposes to the court, then the presentation of personal documents, but also that the former president Kosova you live in a third country that is not neighboring Kosovo.

“Thaci undertakes to comply with such measures in a special or combined manner, including house arrest, the delivery of international travel documents and the prohibition of access to the country or to certain persons. In this sense, the Special Court has a police force proven and efficient in Kosovo, “suggested Hooper. .

One of the measures that can be taken is for Thaci to live in a third country, but not in neighboring Kosovo, Hooper adds.

“Such measures may include, for example, a ban on appearing in the media or in political activities, and even a condition that Thaci reside outside of Kosovo,” Hooper said.

The defense of the former Kosovo president responded to the prosecution’s allegations that Thaci worked on the dissolution of the Special Court.

“The most damaging misinterpretation is that Thaci tried to generate support for the abolition of specialized cameras. The arrest warrant from the Prosecutor’s Office does not mention Thaci contribution to the establishment of the Specialized Councils ”, says Hooper.

Local attorneys authorized by the Special Court say the Court will seriously consider these measures.

“Thaci was the key person who founded the Special Court, he was the key person who asked that the mandate of the Special Court be extended institutionally and legally through the Kosovo Assembly, and there is no danger that he will act against the order of the Court” said attorney Skender. Muse.
