The boiler explosion is so strong that it can destroy 2 apartments, according to experts. There is also the eternal dilemma: whether the boiler should be turned off when bathing.
The director of the electrical installation workshop, Milan Bojii, told TV Prva that each boiler that operates 24 hours a day consumes less energy, the longer it lasts, the more the thermostats, the less lime is generated.
“It is also necessary to turn it off during the bath. This is the only period when the boiler should be turned off. Therefore, it must be turned off while the person is bathing because there may be a break in the heater, whatever it is,” Bojii said.
Each boiler has four types of protection. The problem arises with old and untested fixtures and heaters.
Bojii claims that the biggest mistake when repairing water heaters is that it is very often done by unprofessional people.
“A comedian, a friend, a sponsor, a brother who saw it on YouTube or heard from someone you know is not complicated, saw a master workshop on television and now everyone thinks – we would call him an authorized person,” he says.
The interlocutor from TV Prva, who has been dealing with electrical installations for 30 years, says that people eat greenery because they do not follow the operating instructions and therefore the appliance, which may be outdated, is an additional burden.
“You will get a warranty period of 3 or 5 years from each manufacturer, and for that? Well, that is why it takes so long. You have an old building that was designed 50 years ago, where an average home in Serbia had a radio, a fashion TV and two light bulbs. “You put in a facility that nobody has maintained for years in a situation where you put air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, irons, hair dryers, so that everyone is strong consumers,” he added.
Whether it’s a water heater, gas or electric heating, proper use and regular service by an authorized person is the only thing that can prevent accidents in the home.
