“1.72 million pensioners will get help. That help will be useful for those who have smaller pensions,” Vucic told RTS.

He stated that 75 million euros were provided for the payment of one-time assistance to pensioners.

He added that from January of next year, pensioners will receive an increase according to the law of 5.9 percent.

Another minimum for the tourism industry

Vučić said tonight that the tourism industry will receive support from the sector at another minimum for employees and pay will be in ten days.

As a guest on RTS, he said that travel agencies, guides, car rental agencies, catering companies and hoteliers will receive this help.

“72,500 employees will receive the minimum wage,” Vucic said.

He assessed that it was a great help from the state.

Vučić said he was also considering helping the private sector in January.

“I think we will find a way to help the private sector. I am more in favor of one-time benefits, even if they are smaller, because they cannot be large, but changing fiscal policy brings additional uncertainty,” Vučić said.

He added that he expects the forecasts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to be fulfilled, that Serbia will have the highest accumulated growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in Europe in the next three years, of 9.6 percent.
Vučić said that the state is trying to repay the entire 300 million euro loan, which was taken from Azerbaijan for the Čačak – Ljig highway, which was worth before the end of this year.

“We have paid a little more than half of that loan, now we want to pay the entire debt, because it is not an easy interest rate of four percent, which was withdrawn in 2011,” he said.
