The Vice President of the Democratic Party (DS), Dragana Rakić, said today that the call for the “lynching” of journalists, artists and doctors who “dared” to speak freely and critically about life in Serbia has become commonplace in the assembly.

In the statement, he assessed that the assembly sessions take on the appearance of “tavern gatherings”, which aim to “put a target on the back” of all those who think differently.

He said that MP Marko Atlagić returned the Serbian Assembly to the “radical era, the era of expelling dissidents”, because he verbally assaulted actress Jelisaveta Seka Sablić in mid-November.

“The deputies of the Serbian Progressive Party show their true radical face, and it is clear that there is no more democracy or European values ​​in the National Assembly,” he said, commenting on statements by Atlagic and SNS deputy Biljana Pantic Piljo, who described H1 and Nova S as “anti-Serbs, domestic traitors and foreign mercenaries”.
