Serbian Patriarch Irinej has been at the helm of the Serbian Orthodox Church for the past ten years, and January 2020 marked 60 years of monastic experience, 45 years of episcopal and ten years of patriarchal experience.
One of the most important monuments, which he left for life, is a large number of renovated and built temples and monasteries throughout the diocese of Nis, where he served for 34 years. It was the first time in 120 years that Serbian shrines had been restored and built in the area.
