My friends and my family don’t even know where Serbia is. They thought I was going to Siberia. Davis Richardson, 27, is another American enthusiastic about Belgrade.
– I just wanted to get out of New York a couple of months ago, but I put down roots here. I pay half the rent I would pay in New York here, and I have a huge apartment downtown. So for less money, I get a lot more. The city is fantastic and you can see a lot of things. If the United States continues like this, I think more and more Americans will come here – he says, adding that he feels “like there is no pandemic” in Belgrade, and that there is no pressure like he feels in America.
