938 new cases were registered, the majority in Novi Sad

In the last 24 hours, 938 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Vojvodina, announced the Vojvodina Institute of Public Health.

According to a statement published on the Institute’s website, the highest number of new infections was registered in Novi Sad, 226, and the situation remains critical in Pancevo, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Sombor, Subotica and Sremska Mitrovica.

The number of active cases in Vojvodina is currently 41,982, but the Institute estimates that the number is much higher.

The highest number of active cases is in Novi Sad, 11,933, followed by Pancevo with more than 4,100, Zrenjanin with more than 3,000, Subotica with more than 2,400, Backa Palanka with more than 1,700, Kikinda with more than 1,400, Sremska Mitrovica, Vrbas and Ruma with more than 1,000 active cases.

The institute values ​​the epidemiological situation in Vojvodina as extraordinary, although fewer new cases were registered during the week compared to the previous one.
