Pilot Savić, who heroically fought until the last moment, managed to land the plane between the houses and the Voteks paint factory, thus avoiding a major accident and an even greater tragedy. That day, the great courage and the fight to prevent the plane from hitting an apartment building, a house, cost the pilot Savić his life.

The co-pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Tomislav Bećagović, managed to catapult that day and jumped out of the plane a few minutes before impact. The “swallow” flight that day for Major Savić was a test for the title of experienced pilot.
