65 patients died, another 6,179 were recently infected

In the last 24 hours, 15,508 citizens were tested for the corona virus, of which 6,179 tested positive.

Unfortunately, 65 patients died.

There are 252 patients on ventilators in hospitals across Serbia and 747 were hospitalized.

Number of new infected by cities: Belgrade 1,895, Kragujevac 325, Novi Sad 313, Nis 237, Kraljevo 150.

It should be recalled that the Secretary of State of the Serbian Ministry of Health, Mirsad Đerlek, stated today that the epidemiological situation throughout the country is difficult and uncertain.

– It is evident that a group of people does not understand how cruel and serious the disease is. The state will continue to implement the measures, we will continue with the massive tests because that is how we will carry out the triage, and of course we wait for the vaccination with which we will increase herd immunity – added Djerlek.

Professor Vladislav Vukomanović, pediatric cardiologist at the Belgrade Institute for Mother and Child “Dr. Vukan Čupić”, stated that there are no children infected with a more serious clinical picture in that hospital. Remember that the Institute for Mother and Child is not a classic kovid hospital, but it has a kovid triage and intensive care department.

“Currently, there are about six confirmed coronavirus patients. We do not have patients in intensive care, which means that fortunately we have very few serious cases, and that is a trend from March until now, ”said Vukomanović.

He added that the number of patients in the triage room was “increasing.”
