He said as a guest on TV Prva that two things are problematic now.
“The first is the natural course of the epidemic, because the coronavirus behaves in an atypical way in relation to other respiratory viruses, and the second is that I am afraid to protect our elderly, because we do not need the virus to enter the elderly and gerontological centers, “Gojkovic said.
He added that we did not need Black Friday, because after, he says, for the first time we have that the proportion of infected women is almost 60 percent. He estimates it to be “a consequence of shopping addiction.”

He pointed out that we have reason to be concerned and that we should not end up in a situation where we jump out of the system at the peak of the epidemic. At the same time, the occupation of the hospitals is enormous, the clinical pictures of the patients are difficult and require serious supervision.
Speaking of vaccines, he noted that vaccines, in addition to antibiotics, are the largest in the course of medicine. Serbia, Gojković said, has been negotiating with all vaccine manufacturers from the beginning, and we will have all the best on the market.
“We will allow everyone to get vaccinated and get the best vaccine on the market, no matter where it comes from and who it is. We have invested a lot of money in drugs and we have all the drugs that exist in the world,” Gojković said.

He affirmed that our hospital capacities have been filled and that the Novi Sad Fair will be activated today, the full preparation of which will take about 48 hours. All that, as he himself said, so that no one is left without help.
Dr. Ana Gligić, a virologist, who was head of the smallpox team in 1972, told TV Prva that she hopes that we are at the top now and that in a few days the curve will start to turn down.
Regarding the vaccine and resistance to it in various people, he emphasized that people must be explained that there is no conspiracy and that only a vaccine can help us permanently.
“Until we get the vaccines, we have to wear masks and keep our physical distance,” emphasized Dr. Gligić.
He rated Prime Minister Ana Brnabić’s announcement that the vaccines will be purchased from various manufacturers as very good. Based on the doctor’s assessment, that will help more people get vaccinated.
