Belgrade – The Tax Administration received 27,866 applications for the determination of the annual personal income tax with income in 2019 of more than 2.7 million dinars.

The highest number of “millionaires” is in New Belgrade – 4,969, and the lowest in Vranje – 102.

Reported income for the top 100 taxpayers with the highest reported income ranges from about 61 million dinars to about 749 million dinars, the Tax Administration announced.

Of the top 100 reported earnings, 68 percent are Belgrade taxpayers, 85 nationals and 15 foreigners.

The most reported occupations of “millionaires” are manager, director and engineer, while 88 percent of registered applicants are men.

After New Belgrade, in the capital, the most millionaires registered in the center of Belgrade, 4,869, and the fewest applications in Zemun, 1,522.

It is followed by Novi Sad with 2.993 million, and the first next city in Serbia with more citizens requesting the determination of annual income tax is Ni – 884.

After Nia, Kragujevac has the most millionaires: 633, Panevo – 417, Zrenjanin – 395, Subotica – 356, Ccaak – 342, Uice – 305, Sremska Mitrovica – 268, Kruevac – 225, Jagodina – 204, Zajear – 215 and Leskovac – 179.

The Tax Administration shares that the obligation to declare annual income tax was contracted by citizens who in 2019 earned more than 2,729,304 dinars, or more than three times the average annual salary per employee paid in Serbia in that year, according to the Office of Statistics of the Republic. .

Tax returns for annual personal income tax can be filed on paper and electronically.

35 percent of the requests to determine the annual personal income tax for 2019 were received through the portal of the Tax Administration – ePorezi, according to the Tax Administration.
