2,677 newly infected, 9 died, in the respirators of 77 patients

In the last 24 hours, 11,192 citizens were tested for the corona virus in Serbia, of which 2,677 were positive.

Unfortunately, nine patients died.

There are 77 patients on ventilators in hospitals across Serbia. Since the start of the epidemic in Serbia, 60,635 people have been infected with the corona virus, of which 880 have died.

up to 40 percent of the newly infected are in Belgrade (1,084), followed by Kragujevac (230), Novi Sad (213), Valjevo (87), Zrenjanin (58), Kraljevo (57), Sabac (42), Nis (41), Loznica (32), Zajecar (30) and Pancevo (30).

Other cities and municipalities have fewer than 30 newly infected.

The epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Team for the suppression of the coronavirus epidemic, Predrag Kon, made a new call today to the citizens of Belgrade to wear masks, reduce contacts and avoid crowds.

Kon noted that hospitals in the capital are almost full.

Last night, Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar told citizens of Serbia that they can help health workers by not making any unnecessary contact for the next 10 days.

Tonight, President Aleksandar Vučić will visit third shift workers and the construction work of the new kovid hospital at the “Zemun ekonomija” Military Complex at the Batajnički drum in Belgrade.
